(void *): New Version of Evince Package for Nokia 770
Evince has by default two backends: One for PDF files, that uses libpoppler and the other one for PS files, using ghostscript. When the first package was released, i was not able to test the PS backend, and finally when i tested, it was not working at all.

This page details the procedure that I followed in order to obtain a working (as in "non-crashing") version of Asterisk 1.2.1 (the latest release from Digium) on the Nokia770.

My last try did not manage to get a proper look and feel in the Maemo environment. But this time I copied the files from /usr/share/themes from my Nokia 770 to the scratchbox environment on my computer (just click here if you are wondering what the hell is a scratchbox), and added this to .gtkrc-2.0 to my home directory

Emdebian Nokia - Debian Wiki
This scratchbox-based environment is intended for building emdebian [1] packages. It uses a scheme based on the emdebian STAG framework ideas [2]. It can also be used for making root filesystem images out of emdebian packages.
This is an attempt to share the Nokia experience of Nokia 770 development and building bootable root filesystem images using the emdebian packaging scheme.

Flite on Maemo and Nokia 770
This is the project page of an attempt to create a Finnish language text-to-speech system for the Maemo platform and Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. As a side effect, also English language version of Flite is ported to these systems.
Currently I have successfully compiled and run Flite on Maemo SDK both under PC and ARM target. I'd be interested in knowing if it also runs on the actual target device.

 I recently purchased a Nokia 770 wireless Internet Tablet
(http://europe.nokia.com/nokia/0,,75023,00.html) and a few days ago I
successfully ported Ruby 1.8.4 to it. For those of you who are
unfamiliar w/the 770, it's Nokia's first such non-phone product (or so
they claim): a very nifty hand-held "PC" that among other things runs a
pared down version of Linux (from kernel.org, debian package), has
built in wifi and bluetooth, includes email client, Opera browser, RSS
client, audio and video, all displayed on an 800x480x16bpp display.
The 770 will sense any available wifi connection and jack in
effortlessly. And, if you have a bluetooth-ready cell phone, the 770
can jack into that too and provide an internet connection via GPRS
anywhere your cell has a signal (very cool indeed.) Before porting
Ruby to it, it was love at first sight. Now I'm ecstatic.

porting wxPython and wxWidgets to the Maemo platform. This is very awesome news. Back in the days, I’ve done my fair share of C++ programming. But I have just gotten increasingly tired of dealing with development environments, preprocessing, linking, and portability. I spend half of my development time staring a link lines for missing function references from unknown or incompatible libraries.

iSilo forum - Nokia 770 We Need This
Probably the best reading device available today is the Nokia 770. iSilo must be ported ASAP. Reading on this device is excellent, but there is no good reader available. Nokia is actively seeking new applications and would welcome the effort to port iSilo to the 770's special Linux OS. Note: there is a NEW 2006 OS that was just introduced. Any port work should be for that OS and not for the older 2005 system. THANKS

Lucid Visions
FCE Ultra is running cross compiled for ARM. However input methods need to be developed of course. This was more of a test to see how it could handle the graphics etc then anything, although if anyone is interested in working on this it would be great! I will say it runs well enough to be playable.
